Another day, another adventure to be had.

Babies and Bowling… February 22, 2009

This weekend has been pretty busy for the Kalles family filled with bowling, spa, taxes, and a trip to the Redmond Town Center. Yesterday was a beautiful day though and we took advantage of it by heading to the playground. Unfortunately though the slides were a little wet so we were not able to tackle those. Ethan and I headed to meet up with friends at TechCity bowling in Redmond and had a fabulous time. Of course we were meeting friends and Ethan is not the sit still and chat little boy so he shot off like a rocket towards the arcade area. Luckily my friend Steph had some quarters and so Ethan really enjoyed the racing game even though he didn’t make it past the finish line. He was having fun just shifting the gears and holding on to the steering wheel as it vibrated since he was driving off of the road. I think we have a little arcade lover on our hand. When bowling started Ethan was all about watching the ball hit the pins and was fascinated with the lights and atmosphere. We will definitely be back again to let him try to bowl since unfortunately we were past his bed time last night. It was a great time and a fun outing.

Today I am heading to get a massage that I am SO excited about. My fantastic husband gave me a gift certificate for Valentine’s Day so I am taking advantage of it today. Then we are heading to get our taxes done. I hope that everyone is having a fabulous weekend.

Since every one in our household had been through the flu this week we decided it was time to get out of the house and do something fun, and Alison (Jeff’s mom and Ethan’s grandma) invited us. We met up at the Imagine Children’s Museum in Everett. This is such a cool place to take your little ones. They have lots of different activity areas. Ethan gravitated to the building blocks, the bus, and the water toys. They even have an exciting outdoor play area with a ton of slides, a dinosaur excavation site, and lots of places to run and explore. We will definitely head there again in the near future.

Tomorrow I am heading out with my friend Cris to participate in a 5K Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em dash around Greenlake. I know, probably not the best idea since I just had the flu yesterday but every one needs a little exercise in their life.

In order to take advantage of the rare sunshine we took a little walk down to the local elementary school and ran wild and crazy on their playground equipment.

As far as new words, he can now say his own name if you spell it first. We will try to get some video up of it since it is very cute.
