Well actually the title of this post should be Seattle Susi and Ethan Expo since we were technically in PAX for only a short time in the morning before things got too crowded.
Ethan and I headed down to meet Jeff at around 9 in the morning yesterday and then checked into the hotel and immediately went over to the convention center before the general public was let in. We got to go on the show floor before it started and see all of the exhibitors which was fun. Ethan luckily did not get scared by anything he saw at the show.
We got to hang out a little bit in the VIP room which was fun for Ethan since he got to play around in the bean bags to his hearts content. The VIP room also had windows which looked down at the people waiting to get into the show floor.
Once the crowd started filtering through the doors we had to leave since the stroller was some reason a fire hazard. I guess because of the huge amount of people that were expected on the show floor. That was fine with me because I really didn’t want to be in there anyways with that many people. I’ve been to enough game conventions already to get my fill of crowds.
After we left Jeff we headed downtown to the waterfront and went on the carousel. Ethan had a blast and unfortunately I was not able to take any pictures since it was going pretty fast and I had to hold on to him the whole time. After that we ventured to Red Robin for lunch and Ethan was the perfect angel and a great lunch companion.
Unfortunately the rest of the day did not go as great since Ethan decided that he did not need a nap and wanted to instead cry and be extremely cranky for two hours. This would of been fine if we were at home but being in a hotel made it a little difficult since we did not want to ruin the other guests stay. After two hours I decided to take him shopping instead and wouldn’t you know it, once we got out the door he fell asleep.
In the evening we had plans to hang out with some of my old co-workers from WildTangent which was a lot of fun. Ethan luckily was an angel during dinner as well considering he only had a twenty minute nap all day. Once we were done with dinner he was really wired so I let him look out the window at the view from our hotel room. I think he really liked being so high up and down on everything.
